Where is Sober Living located?

We are in north Etobicoke, in the northwest corner of the City of Toronto, on a quiet residential court near the Albion Road and Finch Avenue West area. Humber Polytechnic’s North campus is nearby, and the major highways that connect Toronto with Peel Region and York Region are only minutes away.

That location matters for two reasons. First, it is genuinely accessible: families driving in from Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan or downtown Toronto can reach us without a long trip, and people flying in from elsewhere in Canada land at Pearson just a short drive away. Second, the setting is residential rather than commercial. There is no busy storefront or hospital campus, which makes it easier to arrive privately and to settle into a calmer daily rhythm once treatment begins. If you are searching for addiction treatment in Etobicoke or rehab near Toronto, this is where your care would take place.

A healing environment in north Etobicoke

Where you recover shapes how you recover. Our centre is designed to give people a private, calm place to focus on treatment, with clinical care and everyday comfort under one roof.

Private and discreet

Being in a residential neighbourhood, away from downtown noise and the routines and places linked to substance use, helps people step back from everyday pressures and concentrate on getting well. Our centre is a residential treatment setting with a low client-to-staff ratio, so the atmosphere is personal rather than institutional.

Natural surroundings

North Etobicoke has more green space than many people expect. The West Humber River parkland and the Humber Arboretum near Humber Polytechnic’s North campus are close by, and our centre offers outdoor areas for fresh air, walking and quiet reflection. Time outdoors supports the mindfulness, fitness and wellness activities that are part of every program.

Modern facilities

The centre brings together the spaces treatment needs: areas for medical care and 24/7 detox supervision, rooms for individual and group therapy, space for fitness, yoga and meditation, and comfortable living quarters. You can see more on our facilities page.

How do I get to Sober Living in Etobicoke?

Most people arrive by car, either driving themselves, with family, or through transport our admissions team helps arrange. The centre sits within easy reach of Highways 427, 401 and 407, and GPS will guide you through the final local streets. The times below are approximate and depend on traffic.

By car from Highway 427, 401 or 407

From Highway 427, head north toward the Finch Avenue West and Albion Road area, then continue east on local roads to Warrendale Court. From Highway 401, connect to Highway 427 northbound, or take a north-south arterial road such as Islington Avenue up toward Finch Avenue West. From Highway 407, join Highway 427 southbound and exit toward the Albion Road and Finch Avenue West area. Once you are close, follow GPS to 3 Warrendale Court, M9V 1P9.

From Toronto Pearson International Airport

The drive from Pearson is roughly 15 minutes in normal traffic, mostly via Highway 427 northbound. For people flying in from other provinces or from outside Canada, admissions can help coordinate an airport pickup so you are not navigating the city alone on arrival day.

From downtown Toronto

Allow roughly 30 to 45 minutes from downtown, and longer at rush hour. Common routes are the Gardiner Expressway west to Highway 427 north, or Highway 401 west to Highway 427 north.

By public transit

TTC bus routes serve Finch Avenue West and Albion Road. Check the TTC trip planner for current routes, and call us if you would like help planning the last part of the trip.

From elsewhere in Ontario or out of province

We regularly admit people from outside the GTA. Our admissions team coordinates travel logistics, including timing, airport or station pickup and what to expect on arrival, so the only thing you need to focus on is getting here.

What do we treat at our Etobicoke centre?

Everything we offer takes place at this one location: medical detox, residential addiction treatment and mental-health care for adults. That includes 24/7 medically supervised detox, programs for alcohol, opioids including fentanyl, cocaine, crystal meth, benzodiazepines and other substances, treatment for concurrent disorders such as depression and anxiety, and specialist programs including Sublocade and ketamine treatment. See the full list on our what we treat page.

Therapies include CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, individual and group therapy, family therapy and education, relapse prevention, 12-step and mutual-support groups, and holistic wellness such as yoga, meditation, fitness, nutritional counselling and creative expression. Programs typically run 30, 45, 60 or 90 days, followed by extended aftercare with regular check-ins.

What happens when I arrive? Privacy and discretion

Arrival is quiet and private. A member of our team typically greets you, completes the admission paperwork with you in a private space and introduces you to the medical team, who begin your assessment.

We understand that many people worry about being seen or about their employer finding out. Your personal health information is protected under Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), and we do not share information about your treatment without your consent, except where the law requires it. If family or a friend is bringing you, admissions can explain how arrival day works for them too. The step-by-step process is explained on our intake process page.

What should I bring for my stay?

Pack for comfort and for about a week at a time, and bring your identification, health and insurance cards and all current medications in their original containers. Admissions will send the current packing list before you arrive.

  • Ontario health card (OHIP) or provincial health card, and photo ID.
  • Insurance or benefits card and employee assistance program details.
  • All prescription medications in original pharmacy containers, with a list of doses and prescribers.
  • Comfortable, layered clothing, sleepwear, and running shoes for walks and fitness sessions.
  • Alcohol-free toiletries, glasses and any medical devices you use.
  • Contact details for your family doctor and an emergency contact.

Leave alcohol, non-prescribed drugs, valuables and large amounts of cash at home, and ask admissions about current guidelines for phones and laptops.

Can family visit, and can I tour the centre?

Yes. Family involvement is part of treatment here, and prospective clients and families can contact us to arrange a visit or learn more about the centre before admission.

Once a person has settled in, visits and family sessions are scheduled so they support rather than interrupt treatment. Our Family Counsellor leads family therapy and education, helping loved ones understand addiction, rebuild trust and prepare for life after discharge. Learn more about our family support program, and ask admissions for current visiting times.
