At Sober Living, our group therapy sessions are led by experienced clinicians who create a safe, supportive environment for sharing, learning, and growth. Group therapy is a large part of the recovery process because it offers something that individual therapy alone can’t, which is community.
In group therapy, you are able to see that you are not alone in your struggles. By hearing others share their experiences it can help to reduce not only isolation but shame as well. While helping to build empathy and social connection with others around you. As well as practice interpersonal skills, receive feedback, and develop accountability.
We offer different groups such as psychoeducational groups, process groups, skills-based groups (DBT, CBT), and experiential groups. Each with its own purpose.
For a lot of people the connections made during group can be one of the most meaningful parts of treatment.
